Reservable Library Spaces

Ground Floor

Atrium

The Atrium is a hospitable space that invites collaboration and creativity among students and faculty. The Atrium is furnished with 4’ x 4’ custom tables (complete with electrical installation), 62 chairs, and two lounge areas. There is no audio/video capabilities in this space. This space is available during normal library hours and may be reserved here or groups internal and external to ACU.

Mabee Auditorium Classroom (Core Classroom) Room 272

This room accommodates 66 people and includes an Apple Mac computer, projector screens, mounted projectors, TV screens, sound speakers, rolling whiteboards and a wall-mounted whiteboard.  Other than regularly scheduled classes reserved through the ACU Registrar, this room may be reserved in advance at psr08a@acu.edu by ACU faculty, faculty advisors, and staff.

Maker Lab Classroom

The Maker Lab classroom will accommodate 30-50 people and includes HD projectors with HDMI input, mounted whiteboards, retractable extension cords and rolling whiteboards. ACU faculty, staff, and students may reserve this room at darren.wilson@acu.edu.

Nancy and Ray Hansen Reading Commons

The Reading Commons is available for academic literary events, including films related to literature and documentaries. Located at the east side of the Learning Commons, this newly renovated space includes audio/video capabilities, a projector with HDMI input, tables and chairs as well as casual soft seating to accommodate 40 people. This space is available to internal groups for academic literary events. Click here to reserve the Reading Commons.

 

Top Floor

Computer Lab, Room 301    

Complete with seating for 25, five TV screens, 26 Apple Mac computers, two whiteboards and a printer. This third floor room is available to ACU faculty, staff, and students during normal hours of operation by advanced reservation here. Semester-long courses may not be scheduled. Multi-week reservations are limited to a maximum of three weeks.

Davis-Tucker Conference Room 328b

Located on the top floor, the conference room accommodates 20 people and includes a computer, whiteboard, and audio/video capabilities.  ACU faculty and staff may reserve this room here.

Innovation Foundry Classroom 340

This space is located next to the Packer Forum. It offers four tables with 16 chairs and includes a TV monitor, retractable extension cords, and whiteboards.  ACU faculty and staff can request to reserve the Innovation Foundry at if@acu.edu. Students cannot reserve the space but can use it when available.

Learning Studio Rooms

The Learning Studio provides media communications for teaching and learning. Group and studio rooms are available to ACU faculty, staff, and students by advanced reservation through the Learning Studio here.

Packer Forum

Located on the east side of the library top floor, the Forum offers natural lighting and beautiful ACU views from its bow windows. The furnishing configurations include STANDARD “as is” for student study to seat 82 people, BANQUET to seat 96 people, LECTURE with tables and LECTURE without tables to seat 81-135 people. Complete with a projector with HDMI input, this space has the potential to host departmental gatherings, meetings and conferences. The Packer Forum availability is limited and may be reserved by ACU faculty and staff here.

Portico Room 328

Located next to the Packer Forum, the Portico offers a casual meeting space or can be used as a buffet and meal prep area for banquets and luncheons. This room is reservable with either the Davis-Tucker Conference room or the Packer Forum.

Scholars Lab Classroom 326

This room is located on the north side of the top floor and offers access to specialized computer software. The main area is furnished with a table and six chairs, a TV screen a whiteboard and two desktop computers. ACU faculty, students and staff may reserve this area at scholarslab@acu.edu

 

Bottom Floor

Nursing Mothers Room 156   

The Nursing Mothers Room is a dedicated space for women to use during their time on campus. The room has two seating areas and is equipped with outlets, chairs, and a refrigerator. The room may be reserved using this Google calendar. A key to the room may be checked out at the Brown Library Circulation desk.
