Transfer Admission Process
- Complete an application for admission.
- Send all official high school and college transcripts to the Office of Admissions: ACU Box 29000, Abilene, TX 79699-9000.
- If you are transferring less than 24 credits, request your ACT and/or SAT scores be sent to ACU. ACT and/or SAT writing score is recommended. If you were unable to take your ACT and/or SAT due to cancelled test dates, please review our test-optional policy.
- Once we receive the above items, you will be considered for admission to ACU. You will be notified of your admissions status according to when your application was completed.
- Should you be granted admission, you will be given access to confirm your admission and pay your enrollment deposit. Once you place your enrollment deposit, you will be able submit your housing preference (if applicable) and select a meal plan.
*First-semester transfer students applying for the Spring semester can still complete their transfer application, but will not be able to submit an official transcript until they have completed a full semester in college. If provisionally admitted, students must submit their official transcript in order to be reviewed to confirm their admittance. Since it may take a few weeks for us to receive an official transcript, we will accept unofficial grade reports, printed off the institution's website, to make our final decision. Students still need to submit official transcripts before the first day of class.
