The United States Department of Education states: “The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality.” Accreditation fosters accountability by ensuring colleges and universities are meeting standards.
Abilene Christian University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees.
